In the wake former New Orleans Saints QB Archie Manning declaring that Texas QB Arch Manning will not be coming out in next year’s NFL Draft, there have been a lot of different reactions. But one fanbase might have had the perfect overall reaction to the news.

There are a slew of NFL teams that are in serious contention to be the worst team in football this season. You have the hapless, hopeless teams such as the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans, along with relative newcomers to being perpetually terrible such as the Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints and New York Giants.
But right now it looks like the Saints are heading into the season with the most confidence that they’ll land Arch Manning – one way or another.
Saints superfan Jonathan Barnes took to X after Archie’s big words about his grandson and boldly declared that it won’t matter if the Saints are terrible in 2025. He expects them to be terrible in 2026 too.

“We gonna be ass again in 2026 too buddy. We can do this all day,” Barnes declared.
Others Saints fans in his comments mostly agreed, but fans of other teams tried to get in on the joke too:
“Cleveland Browns say: ‘hold my beer,’” one fan responded.
“He think his drafted team will change lol. Brother the trash teams are always trash lol,” wrote another.
“We’re trading Dak to the saints we’ll take a 10 piece chicken nugget meal in return and 1 1st rounder to make it easy,” a Cowboys fan replied.

There are plenty of ways to find success in the NFL, but the only way to enjoy sustained success for longer than a couple of years is to have a franchise quarterback. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a team that boasts a top-15 or even a top-20 quarterback that is expected to be picking in the top-five next season.
So until the Saints find their long-sought replacement for Drew Brees, chances are they’re going to be in contention for the worst record in the league pretty regularly.
