PREMIAIR Racing has split with major sponsor Mr Umami just two rounds into the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship.

Mr Umami had come aboard the Gold Coast-based Chevrolet squad on a full-year basis, but its branding has disappeared from an updated livery released ahead of the New Zealand doubleheader.

More ominously, the South Australian company’s logo has suddenly vanished from PremiAir’s website altogether.

While some teams including Dick Johnson Racing tend to undergo a livery shake-up for New Zealand rounds, V8 Sleuth understands Mr Umami won’t return following an alleged financial dispute.

Mr Umami appeared last year as an occasional naming rights backer on the Brad Jones Racing car of Bryce Fullwood before parting ways.

PremiAir Hire has taken Mr Umami’s place on the #31 and #777 Camaros of Jayden Ojeda and Declan Fraser.

PremiAir Hire is the business of team owner Peter Xiberras; the Supercar real estate it now occupies is thought to be available for external sponsors to secure, with PremiAir Hire’s presence merely an interim measure.

Ojeda and Fraser recorded their respective best results of the season in the most recent Albert Park race.

Next up is the ITM Taupō Super440 on April 10-12.
