As Samsung gears up for its annual mid-range refresh, the Galaxy A57 is quickly becoming the star of the show. Today, unboxing videos from Thailand gave us a look at the device’s exterior. Now, the latest set of leaks shared by tipster Alfatürk are pulling back the curtain on what makes the phone tick. Specifically, it looks like Samsung is getting serious about heat management with a bigger vapor chamber on the Galaxy A57.

When you put the Galaxy A55, A56, and the new A57 next to each other, you can see that the new model has a much bigger vapor chamber. This is essential for dispersing heat during intense activities like high-end gaming or multitasking. A bigger cooling surface should help the Galaxy A57 to maintain peak performance for longer periods without the processor needing to “throttle” or slow down to prevent overheating.

Slim 6.9 mm design

Despite the beefed-up cooling system, the Galaxy A57 is reportedly going on a diet. Leaked ads show a remarkably slim profile with only 6.9 mm thickness and about 179 grams in weight. This would make it one of the thinnest devices in the A-series history, on par with many of the most popular models.

To achieve this, Samsung is reportedly using a “gradation pad” and mirror printing finish on the back to maintain a premium feel. The “Key Island” design—a raised section on the frame for the power and volume buttons—also returns. Plus, the company is trimming the bezels for a more immersive 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display.

Performance and pricing

Under the hood, the Galaxy A57 is expected to debut with the new Exynos 1680 processor and up to 12GB of RAM. It will also likely ship with One UI 8.5 (based on Android 16).

However, these hardware improvements may come with a cost. Pricing leaks from Thailand suggest a starting price of 16,999 THB (roughly $525), with high-end storage variants reaching over $600. If true, this marks a price hike over previous generations.

The official marketing materials already circulating. So, a global launch appears to be imminent.
