Robbie Williams is heading back to Australia and New Zealand this November, and he’s kicking off the tour right here in Adelaide with what’s set to be one of the biggest live shows of the year.
The global pop superstar has announced his BRITPOP World Tour, with Adelaide Oval locked in as the opening stop on Saturday 7 November 2026. From there, the tour will roll through Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane before crossing the Tasman for shows in Auckland and Christchurch.
For Adelaide fans, it’s a major win. Not only does South Australia get first crack at the tour, but the Adelaide Oval date launches a stadium run that includes some of Robbie Williams’ biggest ever shows in this part of the world. The tour will also take him to Newcastle for the first time and back to Christchurch for the first time in 25 years, where he’ll make history as the first international artist to perform at the city’s new One New Zealand Stadium.
Williams said Australia and New Zealand have long held a special place in his heart. “Australia and New Zealand have always had a very special place in my heart. Ever since my first solo tours, you have welcomed me with open arms and made me feel at home. I’m beyond excited to be coming back this November for the BRITPOP World Tour. Can’t wait to see you all there!”
It’s easy to see why the return is generating so much noise. Robbie’s last run through Australia and New Zealand drew huge crowds, with audiences turning out for a career-spanning set packed with favourites like Angels, Feel, Better Man, Love My Life and Let Me Entertain You. He has also continued to prove he knows exactly how to command a massive audience, from his headline-grabbing AFL Grand Final appearance in 2022 to his Sydney Opera House New Year’s Eve performance that ushered in 2025 in spectacular style.
This new tour also arrives alongside his latest album, BRITPOP, which was surprise released in January. The record nods to the sound and swagger of 1990s British music and includes collaborations with Chris Martin, Gaz Coombes, Tony Iommi, Jesse & Joy and Gary Barlow. Williams described it as a project deeply tied to a particular point in his career. “I set out to create the album that I wanted to write and release after I left Take That in 1995. It was the peak of Britpop and a golden age for British Music. I’ve worked with some of my heroes on this album; it’s raw, there are more guitars and it’s an album that’s even more upbeat and anthemic than usual. There’s some ‘Brit’ in there and there’s certainly some ‘pop’ too – I’m immensely proud of this as a body of work and I’m excited for fans to hear this album.”
Few artists arrive with a catalogue or record like Williams. He has sold 90 million albums worldwide, claimed 16 UK number one albums and won 18 BRIT Awards, more than any other artist. In recent years, his profile has remained as strong as ever, with his Netflix documentary reaching number one in 22 countries and the Better Man film and soundtrack keeping him firmly in the spotlight.
For Adelaide, the announcement adds another huge name to the city’s live music calendar and gives local fans the chance to be part of opening night. If history is anything to go by, this one won’t be short on singalongs, spectacle or pure Robbie Williams showmanship.
Presales begin from Friday 20 March, with general public tickets on sale from Thursday 26 March. For the Adelaide show, tickets go on sale at 2pm local time.
