And the Dragons are back in front!
What a moment for the 19-year-old.
St George Illawarra is once again slick going forward.
Lyhkan King-Togia charges through a couple tackles, could probably have scored himself, but lays off the ball to Hayden Buchanan.
The on-rushing debutant slides over and the Dragons lead once more!
Kyle Flanagan misses the kick.

32′ Sharks go in front after contentious Bunker review
For a moment, it looked like Cronulla would be awarded its second penalty try of the afternoon.
William Kenedy had performed a clever little chip and chase into the Dragons’ goal area.
The fullback couldn’t quite reach his own kick, but it looked he may have been impeded by the retreating Luciano Leilua.
The decision goes to the Bunker.
There’s contact, but it’s not too egregious or consequential.Â
It’s a penalty but no penalty try.
The Sharks take the kick and Nicho Hynes nails it.

27′ Dragons level things up
The Dragons are awarded a penalty for the Sharks not clearing the ruck about 20m out and just to the right of the sticks.
Sloppy stuff from the visitors.
Kyle Flanagan opts to take the kick and he nails it.
12 all.

25′ Klemmer passes HIA
Word is David Klemmer has passed his HIA and he re-enters the field of play.
Hame Sele makes way.
26m agoSat 9 Aug 2025 at 5:29amDragons over for their second!
It’s beautiful football from the Dragons.
The ball is worked out through a series of St George Illawarra hands from the centre to the right and Tyrell Sloan is the extra man wide on the right.
The number two has green grass ahead of him and is able to slide over for the Dragon’s second of the day.

The conversion is missed.

A high Sharks kick is gathered by a leaping Teig Wilton, he’s falling and is tackled mid-air by Tyrell Sloan.
He falls in the goal-area, it’s given no try, but it’s sent to the bunker.
Sloan is penalised for his mid-air tackle and a penalty try is awarded.
That’s a contentious one – there really wasn’t a whole lot in it.
An easy conversion is slotted by Nicho Hynes.

13′ Klemmer off the field for HIA
He copped a knock a couple plays ago and has been ushered off the field for assessment.
Hame Sele is on in his place.
We’ll keep you updated.
40m agoSat 9 Aug 2025 at 5:15amSharks hit back!
Corey Allan is caught in the tackle and the ball flies out of his grasp 20m out from the Dragons line.
Some quick hands see the Sharks scythe through an ill-prepared Dragons back-line.
Prop Braden Hamlin-Uele is the man to go over for Cronulla.
The conversion is good and we are as we were in Kogarah.
46m agoSat 9 Aug 2025 at 5:09amDragons take the lead!
And it’s Emre Guler’s first try for the Red V!
Off the back of that penalty moments earlier, Damien Cook receives the ball out of dummy half and threads through a grubber that Guler is haring after.
He dives, gets a hand to it, and the Dragons take an unlikely early lead.
The conversion is good.

3′ Sharks pressing early
It’s been a solid start from Cronulla Sutherland, who have been gaining good ground with the ball and penning the Dragons in without it.
St George Illawarra is given a much needed penalty for some high contact and has a chance to build its first attack of the day.

We’re underway in Kogarah
The Dragons kick off and the Sharks have first use of the ball.
Addin Fonua-Blake gathers cleanly and charges forward.

Players stride out onto the field in Kogarah
And it’s a really nice image, with both the men’s and women’s teams entering the field with arms interlocked.
Of course, these sides faced off just earlier in the women’s competition.
They are all partaking in a smoking ceremony as part of Indigenous Round.
The Welcome to Country is concluded with a “go the Dragons!”

Sharks too good for Dragons in NRLW
Cronulla has registered its third win of the NRLW season with an assured 20-6 victory over the Dragons in Kogarah.
The Sharks outscored St George Illawarra five tries to one, with both Georgia Ravics and Cassie Staples scoring two each.
Are we expecting a similar story in the men’s competition?

Savage gets emotional during Indigenous Round win
A massive win put the Raiders back on top of the pile last night, and it was extra special for try scorer and Aboriginal (Birri Gubba and Gunggandji) and Torres Strait Islander (Erub, Darnley, Badu and Moa) man Xavier Savage.

For the Dragons, Hamish Stewart starts in the second row with Michael Molo out with an ankle injury. Centre Hayden Buchanan makes his NRL debut, while Jacob Halangahu is also set for his first-grade game from the bench.
Hohepa Puru is the late addition for the Sharks – he joins the bench in place of utility Dan Atkinson. Braden Hamlin-Uele is set to start at prop and Billy Burns comes into the interchange.

It’s good news for the Raiders in the aftermath of last night’s win over Manly with Corey Horsburgh escaping suspension for a shoulder charge.
Horsburgh hit Sea Eagles prop Matt Lodge with the illegal tackle late in Canberra’s 28-12 win, but can escape with a fine if he takes an early guilty plea.
It means he will be free to play in the Green Machine’s next match, a blockbuster showdown with Penrith in Mudgee in two weeks time.

(Getty Images)
G’day and welcome to instalment number three of our coverage of the NRL’s Indigenous Round.
We have a massive Saturday of rugby league ahead of us.
First up, Cronulla-Sutherland looks to make it five wins on the bounce when it takes on neighbours St. George-Illawarra in a Kogarah clash with massive finals implications.
Later, it’s a top eight shootout in Brisbane, with the eighth-placed Dolphins taking on the ninth-placed Roosters.
And in today’s late game, 2025’s early season pacesetters the Bulldogs have the chance to knock the Warriors out of the top four for the first time in months.
In NRLW land, the Knights take on the Tigers and the Bulldogs meet the Warriors.
