Leaf bought the ex-Target HQ (outlined, red) then a block (yellow) in 2020.
Leaf Corporation has secured a tenant for the bulk of Target’s former headquarters, in North Geelong.
Target moved headquarters to Williams Landing in 2018.
Barwon Health has signed up for 8-14 Thompson Road for an initial 10 years.
The agreement covers 10,000 square metres.
Target occupied the lot – 13,233 sqm – for 40 years until 2018 when it moved to a new eight level, 13,000 square metre office in Melbourne’s west Williams Landing.
2600 sqm to fill
Leaf paid Wesfarmers $10.6 million for the ex-Target office in early 2019.
On 3.8 hectares, the property contains a gym, café, community garden, state of the art therapy recreation facilities and large at-grade car park.
Later that year the developer and investor outlaid $3.4m for a neighbouring 9275 sqm block (continues below).
Leaf has 2600 square metres to fill at the contemporary North Geelong office.
At the time – before COVID – the amalgamation was earmarked for residential redevelopment.
Instead in 2020 Leaf secured Gateway Support Services to lease a part.
The not for profit is still an occupier, with Cultura and NeuroRehab.
Following the deal with Geelong based Barwon Health, there is 2600 sqm to fill.
Teska Carson’s Alexander Stone is the agents.
