The founder of private human resources technology unicorn Employment Hero says artificial intelligence has given it the ability to build a major new product with such global potential that he has appointed its first Australian managing director to handle the day-to-day running of the local business.
Ben Thompson has run Employment Hero since founding it alongside Dave Tong in 2014, and will continue to do so, but he has promoted long-time sales executive James Keene to become its Asia-Pacific managing director, while he focuses on global expansion.
