Things appear to have gone from bad to worse for Keith Urban amid fresh claims his teenage daughters have completely “cut him off”,  leaving him living a “solitary” bachelor life following his high-profile split from Nicole Kidman.

Kidman and Urban, both 58, announced their separation in September after nearly two decades of marriage, before finalising their divorce in January.

While it has been widely reported that Urban initiated the split, there are now claims the country star is struggling with the fallout and has a strained relationship with daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15.

Sources recently claimed Urban felt “numb” following his eldest daughter’s recent cover interview with Elle Australia, in which she praised her mother but made no mention of her father.

“My mum is someone who has always been so creative and my biggest inspiration in life. She’s a key part of everything I do,” Sunday told the magazine.

An insider told New Idea the Blue Ain’t Your Colour singer was trying to remain composed but had been left shaken by the very public snub, particularly after seeing it laid out “in black and white”.

But according to celebrity reporter Rob Shuter, the situation runs deeper and both Sunday and Faith have not spoken to their father in some time.

“The kids have essentially cut off contact with Keith,” an insider told Shuter on Thursday.

“This isn’t just about a quote – it’s been building for a while.”

The apparent strain is understood to extend to the former Aussie power couple, who are said to no longer be on speaking terms.

A source told the Daily Mail that Urban has undergone a noticeable shift in recent months, describing his behaviour as akin to a “midlife crisis” and claiming he has become a “totally different person” since the split.

The insider alleged the pair barely communicate and that their relationship deteriorated significantly towards the end, with little sign of improvement since.

According to a leaked copy of the former couple’s divorce papers, Kidman has primary custody of the girls while Urban sees them “every other weekend”.

Despite the girls spending most of their time with their mother, a second source rejected any suggestion Kidman had influenced their relationship with their father.

“Nicole hasn’t turned the kids on him, they’ve made their own choices about their dad,” the source said.

“She isn’t like that. Keith hasn’t tried much to make things better in their eyes.”

Meanwhile, Urban’s friends have suggested he is trying to remain “philosophical” and is hopeful time will repair the fractured relationships.

They have claimed while he is hurt and concerned, he believes there is still a chance to “patch things up” with his daughters and does not blame Kidman for the situation.

Since the split, Urban is understood to have moved out of the family’s Nashville home and into a nearby bachelor pad, where he has been keeping a low profile with rumoured girlfriend, 26-year-old country singer Karely Scott Collins.

However, in January, Collins denied any romantic relationship with Urban, calling the rumours “absolutely ridiculous and untrue”.

Meanwhile, Kidman has recently been linked to her long-time friend and Scarpetta co-star Simon Baker, 56.

The pair appeared close during a red carpet appearance at the New York premiere of the Prime Video series, holding hands and smiling at one another.

They were also reportedly seen slipping into an after-party together.

Neither Kidman nor Baker have addressed the rumours.
