15 AFL-listed players named in Footscray’s Round 1 side.

Footscray has submitted its Round 1 team to face Casey at Mission Whitten Oval.

15 AFL-listed players have been named, including Lachy Carmichael and Arthur Jones who were both listed as tests this week. 

The clash will mark Carmichael’s first competitive hit-out for premiership points in the red, white and blue, alongside fellow draftees Louis Emmett and Will Darcy. 

VFL Premiership Bulldogs Dan Orgill, Billy Crofts, Fred Valpied and Cooper Craig-Peters will also feature, while Harry Hewitt and Ged Saunders will make their debuts. 

The match will start at 12:05pm AEDT and be broadcast live on ABC TV from midday. 

The 2025 Premiership flag will be unfurled at approximately 11:40am AEDT.
