In the midst of a historic month, Josh Giddey has broke yet another record, dishing out 19 assists against the Cleveland Cavaliers – the most by an Australian NBA player ever.
Giddey broke his own record of 17, which he held alongside former All Star Ben Simmons, in a five-point loss in the Chicago Bulls loss to the Eastern Conference heavyweights.
The Aussie also became just the fourth Bulls player to reach this mark, and the first since 1985, joining Ennis Whatley, Guy Rodgers and Clem Haskins.
Giddey also joins Haskins for seventh most assists by a Bulls player in a single game – a record Rodgers holds with 24.
This latest feat comes in the same week that Giddey racked up his 30th career triple-double, moving passing Michael Jordan and Grant Hill to sit nineteenth all-time in NBA history.
He recorded nine points, six rebounds, and two blocks during the game.
