Ulster Rugby return to Belfast for a key URC interprovincial clash against Connacht Rugby, with both sides bringing momentum and familiarity into a matchup that often delivers intensity.
Playing at Affidea Stadium, Ulster will look to lean on its strong home form, while Connacht arrives confident after a productive stretch of performances.
Connacht head coach Stuart Lancaster emphasized the significance of the challenge, noting both Ulster’s consistency and the physical demands of interprovincial rugby. With several players returning from international duty, Connacht enters the contest with renewed depth and energy.
“We’ve been building some nice momentum this past month or two but tomorrow will be the biggest challenge yet in this block,” Lancaster said. “Ulster have been very strong this season and their home form is also impressive, but we are excited about the game and what lies ahead.”
Lancaster also highlighted the importance of key returns to the lineup.
“It’s great to welcome the five players back from international duty, while Heff’s return is also welcome because he was in great form before his injury,” he said. “These interpros are always intense and physical.”
