Mariah Carey, the undisputed Queen of Christmas and global music icon, paid a visit to the Hits Radio Breakfast Show joining hosts Fleur East and Will Best. Despite her legendary status, Carey confessed that early mornings are not her forte, joking, “my morning routine is to stay in bed and go back to sleep!”

During the lively chat, Carey discussed her highly anticipated new music and her upcoming performance at Sandringham Estate, the country home of King Charles and Queen Camilla. When asked if any of the Royal Family would be attending her concert, she revealed a past encounter with royalty. “I don’t think any of them are coming to the gig. I met Fergie at a party once and I thought she was cool, very nice…” she shared.

Carey also gave a glimpse into her planned British itinerary, confirming that the most “British” thing she was about to do was go shopping at the iconic London department store, Harrods. “my stylist is over there figuring it out as we speak,” she quipped.

Even with her glamorous schedule, Carey proved she deals with the same everyday challenges as everyone else. She admitted to Fleur and Will that she had a missed call from her children’s teacher. “my kids are home-schooled and I need to call the teacher! She hit me up yesterday to tell me about the kids and making sure that they do their work,” she said, showing a relatable glimpse into her life as a parent.

And of course, no interview with Mariah Carey would be complete without a nod to her favorite season. The hosts couldn’t resist asking about the social media trend of her “defrosting” for Christmas, a moment that fans eagerly anticipate every year.
