Sport Confidential is your wrap of all the footy gossip and banter.
Tony Jones has stormed off the Sunday Footy Show set again over a quip from a rookie about his infamous kissing incident with Bec Judd.
Jones was not copping it when Gold Coast teenager Zeke Uwland made reference to his 2016 attempted kiss on then Channel 9 weather presenter Judd.
It’s the second time Jones has walked off set over it – the first being six years ago when the embarrassing footage was shown despite him banning replays of the incident.
Jones started the Lou’s Handball segment by attempting to bounce the footy which went pear shaped.
The panel had a laugh, as did Uwland and fellow contestant, Bulldogs’ Lachie Jaques.
“Hopefully we can handball better than Tony bounces,” Uwland said.
Jones took that on the chin and made a joke back.
“I tell you what, just when you think the Gold Coast Suns couldn’t get any more cocky at the moment,” Jones said.
“No good work Zeke. Good work mate love it.”
Matthew Lloyd then asked Uwland if he saw when Jones had previously failed at handballing.
“Oh I don’t know, I’ve just seen Bec Judd that’s all,” Uwland said.
The panel was crying with laughter but Jones had enough, stormed off and didn’t reappear.
“I’ll tell you what, I don’t mind copping shit from you lot but when I start getting it from that, I’m out of here,” he said.
