Hulu is about to make a killing next month.
The 2026 Academy Awards have now come and gone, with quite a few impressive wins, shocking twists, and a lot to talk about. The night’s biggest surprise came from Michael B. Jordan winning the Best Actor award for Sinners instead of Timothée Chalamet taking home the golden statuette for Marty Supreme. However, the surprises started even before the ceremony began.
As tends to happen every year, there were a few snubs at the Oscars, with movies that seemed like safe bets to score nominations not getting a single one. Among those was No Other Choice, a 2025 R-rated South Korean thriller that played with the concept of capitalism through an absurd storyline. Now, new viewers will be able to experience the unique movie.
No Other Choice is officially set to start streaming on Hulu in the United States on April 24. The R-rated film is part of a slew of exciting new arrivals to the streaming service in the next month, which include projects like all four main The Hunger Games movies, the dinosaur epic Primitive War, the murder mystery A Haunting In Venice, and many more.

No Other Choice is based on Donald Westlake’s thriller novel The Ax, which was released in 1997. However, it is not the first adaptation of the book to make it to the big screen. Before the South Korean version, there was 2005’s The Axe, which starred José Garcia, the actor known for his remarkable voice performances as Mushu in Mulan and Bruno in Encanto.

As one of his industry’s best, Man-su is used to a certain lifestyle, and he fully intends on keeping everything as is for his wife and children.
When he fails to find a way back to the top of the industry, Man-su decides to employ drastic measures — kill all his competitors for a job. No Other Choice has a near-perfect 97% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, with a slightly lower 93% audience score. Directed by the excellent Park Chan-wook (Oldboy), the R-rated thriller is a must-watch on Hulu in April.
