In a significant sporting milestone reflecting the continued development of golf in Lebanon, the launch of the country’s first University Golf Team has been officially announced at the Lebanese International University (LIU) – Mount Lebanon Campus.

This pioneering initiative aims to introduce the sport into the university environment and strengthen its presence among young people.

The establishment of the team marks a pivotal step in promoting golf at the academic level, offering students the opportunity discover and practice this distinguished sport within a structured framework that combines competitive performance development with skill also represents an importantfirst move toward encouraging other Lebanese universities to establish similar teams, potentially paving the way for a future inter-university golf league that fosters a strong golfing culture within the student community.
