CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Cleveland State women’s tennis team closed out its non-league slate Sunday, dropping a 7-0 contest at Xavier.

Sunday’s match was played outside at the Lindner Family Tennis Center – the home of this year’s Horizon League Championship. This was also just the second time this season that the Vikings were playing a dual match outdoors.

Despite falling in singles, Anna Mancino and Leah Geisz both forced their matches to three sets, while Jenna Redmile fell in a second set tiebreaker.

Cleveland State will open Horizon League play next weekend, traveling to Youngstown State on Saturday, March 28.
