The Broncos could be set for a major injury blow for the upcoming Battle of Brisbane against the Dolphins, with Payne Haas in doubt.

9news Queensland’s Ben Dobbin reports that Haas is battling an AC joint problem after hurting his shoulder against Melbourne.

“The big news coming out Red Hill is Payne Haas is highly unlikely to play this Friday night … he’ll make the decision tomorrow, the club is giving him all the time possible,” Dobbin said.

Adam Reynolds will be named and is “on track” to return from his rib injury.

Reynolds missed the match against Melbourne after he was originally named in the side on Tuesday afternoon last week.

How Michael Maguire uses his bench will be intriguing with Ben Hunt likely to shift back if Reynolds returns.

Maguire had Ben Talty, Aublix Tawha, Gehamat Shibasaki, Brendan Piakura, Jaiyden Hunt and Blake Mozer all on the bench. He only used Talty and Piakura.
