GREENWOOD, Ind. – Eli Beard of the Drexel men’s basketball team has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District as announced by the organization.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must be of a sophomore academic standing or higher with a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key reserve for their team.

In his first season with Drexel, Beard played in all 33 games, starting 30. The senior from Big Sandy, Texas averaged nine points per game while ranking first in the CAA in effective field goal percentage. His 45.1% shooting from three was ranked second in the CAA and 67th nationally.
