NEW YORK—March 23, 2026—Today, Prime Video announced an April 16 premiere date and released the official key art for Jerry West: The Logo, a feature-length documentary, from Propagate and Khalabo Ink Society, that traces the life and career of NBA icon Jerry West, whose lifelong pursuit of winning was paved in sacrifice and loss. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Kenya Barris in his documentary debut, Jerry West: The Logo will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Jerry West: The Logo is the latest addition to the Prime membership. Prime members in the U.S. enjoy savings, convenience, and entertainment, all in a single membership.

Jerry West: The Logo examines the price of greatness and the man who paid it, as the notoriously private and enigmatic West opens up with rare candor about his private struggles with depression, the marriage that crumbled under the weight of his obsession, his complicated relationship with fatherhood, and the persistent feeling of being an outsider even as he achieved what others only dream of.

Through dozens of never-before-told stories shared by friends, family members, teammates, and colleagues—including insights from former and current NBA stars Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, and Shaquille O’Neal, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, and West’s own wife and several of his children—Jerry West: The Logo paints a complex portrait of a man driven by perfectionism.

In capturing what would become West’s final interviews, Jerry West: The Logo becomes both eulogy and reckoning—a tender, unflinching examination of what we sacrifice in pursuit of greatness and whether, in the end, it’s worth the cost. This film captures West in his most vulnerable and reflective moments, offering audiences a side of the legend they’ve never seen—the man behind the logo, wrestling with his demons, his legacy, and the question of what it all meant.

Jerry West is immortalized as the silhouette on the NBA logo—a singular honor that speaks to his towering impact on basketball and American sports culture. A Hall of Famer as a player and executive, West’s achievements span every level of the game over the course of his 60+ year career. On the court, West was a 14-time All-Star, Olympic Gold Medalist, and NBA Champion. Following his illustrious playing career, West’s success continued as a visionary executive who architected both the “Showtime” Lakers of the 80s and the Shaq/Kobe Lakers of the early 2000s, then went on to contribute to the success of the modern Golden State Warriors. West was a mentor and guiding force for generations of young basketball stars, touching countless lives with his wisdom and counsel. Yet, for all his success, winning was never enough for Jerry West. Behind the triumphs lay tremendous personal cost.

Produced and directed by Kenya Barris, Jerry West: The Logo is a Propagate and Khalabo Ink Society production. The film is executive produced by Mychelle Deschamps and Hale Rothstein for Khalabo Ink Society; Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Drew Buckley, Isabel San Vargas, and Linh Le of Propagate; and Steven Leckart and E Brian Dobbins. Jamie Nelsen and Susana Santiago also serve as producers.
