Tony Jones stormed off live TV after a savage swipe about his infamous moment with presenter Bec Judd.

Jones was hosting Channel Nine’s Footy Show on Sunday when Gold Coast Suns youngster Zeke Uwland made the cheeky swipe about the notorious kiss during a 2016 Nine News Melbourne bulletin.

As the players and panellists took part in a game where they had to hit a target with a handball, Uwland was asked if he had watched the show previously when Jones had failed in the challenge.

“Oh I don’t know, I’ve just seen Bec Judd that’s all,” Uwland hit back.

The Footy Show panel of Matthew Lloyd, Damian Barratt, Nathan Brown and Rory Sloane broke out into laughter as Jones stormed off set.

“I’ll tell you what, I don’t mind copping s**t from you lot but when I start getting it from that, I’m out of here,” Jones remarked.

The sports presenter failed to see the funny side of the jibe and remained off screen for the rest of Sunday’s show.

Uwland’s swipe was a reference to the infamously awkward moment between Jones and Judd six years ago.

TV presenter Judd, who was reading the weather during a Nine News Melbourne bulletin, was signing off for the final time after previously confirming her departure from the show.

As she delivered the forecast, sports presenter Jones put his arm around her and leaned in to kiss her on the cheek.

However, in an excruciating embarrassing moment, Judd quickly turned her face away in horror.

Jones turned away and the pair nervously laughed in response to the now-infamous incident.

Judd has since addressed the moment, joking Jones was “scared” to approach her at the 2024 Brownlow Medal.

“Did TJ try and kiss you hello downstairs,” Lloyd asked.

“He didn’t. I was a bit disappointed. I thought he was going to go in for a crack and I’d make a joke about it. And, do you know what, I think he’s scared to be honest. He looked and he kind of went ugh,” Judd responded.
