Michael Page, also known as MVP, has given his thoughts on his disappointing fight against Sam Patterson at UFC London.

Michael Page is a pretty interesting fighter and that’s been the case throughout the course of his career. In the last twelve months or so, however, MVP has had a fair bit of difficulty in getting a fight booked. Whether it be people turning him down or him just not being offered bouts, the veteran hasn’t been shy about making his feelings clear on this matter.

At UFC London, Page was able to secure yet another win on his UFC record, this time against former training partner Sam Patterson. While he did get the win, though, it wasn’t exactly the most appealing fight for fans to watch, and that was made clear in the aftermath by many online.

In a recent post on Instagram, Page had the following to say about how it all played out.

Page reflects on disappointing UFC London victory

“Got the win.

“Not the performance I aim to give, and I know people expect more. I expect more from myself too.

“Sometimes styles clash and it becomes more tactical than explosive, but I’m not here to be in boring fights. That’s not who I am.

“I respect the opportunity the UFC has given me to compete at the highest level, and I’m here to prove that every time I step in there.

“Appreciate everyone who continues to support me. Respect to my opponent.

“Back to work. On to the next.”

MVP has been pretty outspoken about his inability to get a fight booked, but he’s still a professional. Hopefully, the next time we see him out there, it’s against an elite level guy who he can really test himself against.
