Samoan superstars Payne Haas, Brian To’o and Stephen Crichton are among players from five nations in the latest RLWC2026 Team of the Week.

Of the trio, only Crichton has featured previously in the World Cup Team of the Week, which received more than 50,000 votes from fans after last weekend’s Round 3 NRL and Round 5 Super League matches.

Each week players from the NRL and Super League will be nominated for fans to vote on their Team of the Week, drawn from players in contention for Rugby League World Cup 2026.

The RLWC2026 Team of the Week will be announced each Wednesday.

England and Dolphins centre Herbie Farnworth, Kangaroos and Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary and the uncapped Warriors pair of Tanah Boyd and Jackson Ford, who are both eligible for Australia, have been selected for a second consecutive week.

Crichton was chosen in the inaugural RLWC2026 Team of the Week after his match winning heroics for the Bulldogs in their opening round clash against the Dragons at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The new faces include Kiwis secondrowers Jordan Riki (Broncos) and Joe Chan (Storm), who played opposite each other in Brisbane’s 18-14 defeat of Melbourne in a grand final re-match at AAMI Park last Friday night.

Haas and Australian forward Pat Carrigan, who polled a massive 48% of votes for the lock position, are other Broncos in the Team of the Week – the first time the NRL premiers have had any representation.

And they almost had a fourth player selected, with centre Kotoni Staggs (19%) narrowly missing out to Crichton (20%), who led Canterbury to a gutsy 14-10 defeat of the Raiders in Canberra.

Wests Tigers and Fiji hooker Api Koroisau has claimed the No.9 jersey after Melbourne’s Harry Grant – the 2025 IRL Golden Boot winner – failed to receive a nomination. Grant had been a clear cut choice in the previous RLWC2026 Team of the Week voting.

Rabbitohs pair Latrell Mitchell and Cameron Murray also missed a place for the first time but South Sydney are represented by livewire fullback Jye Gray, who starred in their 26-20 defeat of Wests Tigers.

Joining Cleary and To’o in the Team of the Week is unheralded Panthers winger Thomas Jenkins, who outpolled Eels and Kangaroos flier Josh Addo-Carr after scoring four tries against Sydney Roosters.

However, To’o topped the voting for wingers after scoring arguably the try of the year in Penrith’s big win.
