Taylor Fritz has been forced to withdraw from the upcoming Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters due to injury, the tournament announced on Thursday.
The No. 7 player in the PIF ATP Rankings, Fritz has withdrawn from the clay-court ATP Masters 1000 event in the wake of his fourth-round loss to Jiri Lehecka at the Miami Open presented by Itau. The 28-year-old American is 12-8 for the 2026 season so far, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index.
Fritz’s best result in Monte-Carlo so far is his semi-final run from 2023, while he also reached the quarter-finals in the Principality in 2022. Following his withdrawal from Monte-Carlo, the American is next scheduled to compete at the BMW Open by Bitpanda in Munich, which takes place from 13 to 19 April.
World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz and his great Lexus ATP Head2Head rivals Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic will headline the field at the 2026 edition of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters. Main-draw play at the Monte-Carlo Country Club, where Alcaraz is the defending champion, will run from 5-12 April.
