WASHINGTON (7News) — The Washington Wizards announced on Thursday that the cherry blossom uniform returns for the 2026-27 season as part of the NBA City Edition Collection.
“We are thrilled to work with Nike and the NBA to bring back this popular NBA City Edition uniform for the 2026-27 season,” said Hunter Lochmann, Wizards Chief Marketing Officer. “We were excited when we debuted these during the 2022-23 season and know the fans and city will be happy to have them back as one of our uniform sets.”

The bright pink uniforms feature many elements from the previous design, with cherry blossoms along the side panels of the top. On the bottom, the pink base ombres into a deep blue to symbolize the reflection of blossoms across the Tidal Basin water.
The three cherry blossoms above the official NBA tag are an intentional nod to the three stars on the D.C. flag.

In addition to the uniform, the team will unveil an NBA City Edition-themed cherry blossom court that also showcases the iconic D.C. symbol.
