There was frustration from the Titans with the referee calling time off as Tino Fa’asuamaleaui was crossing the line off the next play the ball.
However, the seriousness of the situation took over as a long delay followed.
Post-match, Dragons coach and Kyle’s father Shane Flanagan admitted his son was “agitated” and knocked out for possibly five minutes.
“He’s been taken to hospital. Someone said he was unconscious for five minutes so that’s a big concern. He’s rang his mum and his wife and they’re taking him for precautionary X-rays,” he said.
The coach was unable to confirm if there was any neck damage after he was taken off in a brace.
Lyhkan King-Togia was the man who came on for Flanagan and at the time the Dragons were leading 14-12.
