Cammeray Golf Club could become the newest home of live music after being awarded a significant government grant. The club just received $80,000 as part of the NSW Governments’ Live Performance Venue Grant.

The program is designed to support hospitality venues to host live performances, with funding for sound or staging equipment, programming, marketing, and other delivery costs. Out of the 171 venues that applied for this round of funding, the golf club was only one of thirty nine successful bids.

As part of the their submission for the grant, the golf club sited its balcony and beer gardens as
“perfect spot to enjoy live music, the company of family and friends while looking out over golf course views bathed in golden sunsets.”
They believe a major audio upgrade would allow the club to offer a year-long schedule of acts to create a music hub in the area.

A spokesperson from Cammeray Golf Club has confirmed the audio upgrades have already begun and once completed, they will be announcing a live music schedule.
