“She’s incredibly professional and committed, and I have no doubt that she is going to absolutely smash it,” Spencer says.
“That means it’s irrelevant, really, where she comes. Obviously, we’d love her to win, but I don’t know if they’re going to allow an Australian to win that competition.
“If she doesn’t win, it’s irrelevant. She’s still going to do us proud. I have no doubt she’s going to be incredible.

Spencer adds: “She’s not going to let us down.”
Goodrem follows in the footsteps of Go-Jo, who represented Australia in the contest last year.
“I’m so honoured to represent Australia on one of the biggest and most iconic music stages in the world at Eurovision,” Goodrem said.
“As a singer-songwriter, music has been my lifelong passion. I’ve always loved the creativity, individuality, and joy Eurovision brings, connecting and uniting people across the globe through music; the universal language.
“I can’t wait to arrive in Vienna and make Australia proud.”

”I hope they get a sense of possibility out of it. A sense of there’s always a way to kind of reboot yourself and pull yourself out of those times where you might feel depleted, like you run out of batteries or feel like, when you get to bigger numbers in your age… there’s still life out there,” she tells nine.com.au.
Danielle Spencer’s new album Regenerate is out now.
