Adelaide defender Jordon Butts will miss the Crows’ next two AFL games because of concussion.

It will put him out of action for the Good Friday home game against Fremantle and the Gather Round clash with Carlton.

The Crows said Butts reported “mild” concussion symptoms on Sunday, three days after he had a head clash during their narrow loss to Geelong.

They said Butts passed a head injury assessment during the game.

“The AFL Review Centre classified the incident as a discretionary review and our medical team chose to assess him on the bench,” Crows football boss Adam Kelly said.

“He displayed no symptoms the day after the game, but unfortunately on Sunday this had changed and that led to a diagnosis of delayed concussion.”

Under AFL rules, Butts must be symptom-free for at least 12 days before he can play again.
