Per sources, Zalgiris has made an offer to Wright, but with little expectation of a positive response, the club has already begun exploring alternatives on the market.
BasketNews sources around the market indicate that Barcelona is considered the most likely next destination for Wright.
The American big man will become a free agent this summer, as his current one-year deal with Zalgiris expires.
Despite the situation, Wright remains focused on finishing the season strong with Zalgiris.
With four rounds remaining in the EuroLeague regular season, the Kaunas club is still fighting for direct qualification to the playoffs.
Wright has been one of the most productive centers in the EuroLeague this season, averaging 13.0 points, 6.0 rebounds (including 2.3 offensive), and 0.8 blocks in under 23 minutes per game.
Since a turning point in December, his impact has grown significantly.
Over that stretch, he has averaged 15.1 points on 62.1% shooting from the field (32.6% from three), establishing himself as one of the most efficient scoring bigs in the competition.
His recent form has been particularly impressive during a demanding stretch against top opponents.
Over the last six games against Final Four and title contenders, Wright has averaged 16.1 points and 6.6 rebounds, helping Zalgiris secure crucial wins over Hapoel Tel Aviv, Olympiacos, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.
Wright also brings prior EuroLeague experience from his time with Olympiacos, where he spent two seasons and showed flashes of his potential before taking a major step forward in Kaunas.
