One of the LPGA’s biggest superstars will return for one final swansong this summer…

We thought we’d seen the last of Michelle Wie West on golf’s biggest stage.

But just a month after announcing she will be playing in the inaugural women’s TGL next year, Wie West has confirmed one final swansong at the US Women’s Open this June.

The former LPGA superstar, who won the major at Pinehurst No.2 in 2014, revealed on Instagram she will be teeing it up at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles.

“With one final year of eligibility from my victory in 2014 and the Championship headed to an iconic venue that means so much to me, I am excited to announce that I’ll be teeing it up at the U.S. Women’s Open at Riviera in June!” she wrote.

Past champions are given a 10-year exemption by the USGA and Wie West was given a two-year maternity exemption after having two children.

The 36-year-old had spent three years in retirement after waving an apparent goodbye in the 2023 US Women’s Open at Pebble Beach.
