Formula 1 will expand its footprint beyond the track during the forthcoming Miami Grand Prix weekend with the launch of its first official Fan Fest, a five day event set to run from April 29 to May 3 at Lummus Park. The free admission festival, confirmed by promoter South Florida Motorsports, will coincide with race week at the Miami International Autodrome and offer fans a communal viewing experience of all on-track sessions.

Practice, qualifying, Sprint and the Grand Prix itself will be broadcast live on large screens at the Ticketmaster Stage, effectively turning Miami Beach into an off-track hub for the event.

The Fan Fest marks the first time the Miami Grand Prix has created a dedicated, large scale public space away from the circuit.

Katharina Nowak outlined the objective behind the initiative: “We’re excited to launch the first ever, official Miami GP Fan Fest. This creates a new way for fans to experience race week in Miami Beach, one of the most iconic destinations in the world.

“The event will offer a free opportunity to experience the thrill of Formula 1 through activations, entertainment and special appearances, and expose new fans to one of the fastest growing sports in the United States.”

The event will feature live DJ sets, food and beverage options, merchandise outlets and appearances from drivers and Formula 1 personalities across the week.

Multiple teams and commercial partners will run activations throughout the festival. Aston Martin will display a show car at Lummus Park alongside official merchandise, while Red Bull’s Fan Zone will include pit stop challenges, reaction tests and simulators, with an additional show car on display.

Ford will showcase its Raptor vehicle range, while other brand activations include product experiences, sampling stations and interactive exhibits aimed at engaging fans beyond the race itself.

Visitors will also have access to activities such as slot car racing, fan competitions and themed installations, including large-scale sand sculptures.

The introduction of a Fan Fest reflects Formula 1’s continued push to grow its audience in the United States by extending race week beyond the circuit.

By offering free access and a central beachfront location, the event is designed to attract both existing fans and new audiences during one of the most high-profile stops on the calendar.

With live race coverage, entertainment and sponsor activations combined in a single space, Miami’s Fan Fest represents the latest step in Formula 1’s broader strategy to turn race weekends into full scale city wide events.
