Marnus Labuschagne | Hyderabad Kingsmen skipper: Getting 225 on the board, with or without dew, you’d normally feel it’s a defendable total, but it just didn’t work out that way tonight – they batted really well and their openers got off to the perfect start in a big chase (on defending the total). We missed a few chances in the field which probably cost us, but I’m really proud of the intent – we wanted to come back strong in the tournament, and the way our top order set the tone was excellent, with strong contributions in the middle as well, so there are a lot of positives from the batting performance (on team effort). From a bowling perspective, there are things we can look back at – personally, maybe I could have made a different decision around the 15th over, but those are things you reflect on later; overall, we just need to keep trusting our skills and execute better (on bowling decisions). Scoring 220-plus is a big positive for us, especially after a couple of games where things weren’t clicking, so that’s something we can build on (on positives). It’s a long tournament, and while the result didn’t go our way, we will learn from this and come back stronger going into the next phase in Karachi (on future outlook).
