As the players endured one of their toughest weeks in recent memory, they put it behind them on Thursday night, handing the Dolphins a 52-18 thumping.
Instead of looking like a team that was set to claim the wooden spoon and finish near the bottom of the ladder, interim coach Kieran Foran was able to turn things around as the side came to life under him.
Foran has also etched his name into the record books in the process.
The former Manly playmaker, who only retired at the end of last season, became only the third coach to register 50 points in his first match in charge and now holds the record for the biggest win for an interim coach who took over in the middle of the season.
“Someone tell Kieran to write his Dally M coach of the Year speech,” Andrew Voss said.
“Manly are unbelievable and I think there is more to come.”
“This is one of the most extraordinary nights you’ll see. They’re building a Kieran Foran statue at Brookvale.”
