A female has been found dead on a mountain on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast following reports someone had been heard calling for help.
Queensland Police said emergency services were called to the base of Mount Tibrogargan at the Glass House Mountains at about 8:40am on Thursday after reports a hiker had heard someone calling for help.
Emergency services searched the area on foot, and a female was found dead just after 10:30am.

Police said it was believed the female had fallen. A report would be prepared for the coroner.
Last month two 18-year-olds died after falling more than 50 metres from Mount Beerwah, which is also in the Glass House Mountains.Â
Lorielle Georgina was assessed with life-threatening injuries and died at the scene, while an 18-year-old man was airlifted in a critical condition and later died in hospital.Â
