Moicano has definitely seen better days inside the Octagon. The man many call “Money” is currently on a two-fight losing streak with his last win coming against Benoit Saint-Denis back in Sept. 2024 (more on that here). That’s the reason he took a break from social media in preparation for his big fight against Duncan — he wanted to focus fully on the difficult task at hand. And while he would love nothing more than to collect a $100,000 post-fight bonus award, Moicano is adamant getting his hand raised by any means necessary is the only things he is concerned with at the moment. Thankfully for him, he has built a solid fan base for himself; therefore, a third straight defeat likely won’t get him cut from the promotion. But, he has a super hungry, resilient contender in Duncan, who is looking to use Moicano as a stepping stone for bigger and better opportunities moving forward.

As for Duncan, he is currently on a four-fight win streak and is 6-1 so far under UFC’s banner since breaking in via Contender Series. In his last win, Duncan submitted Terrance McKinney (see it here), his third submission in last four fights. A win over Moicano would elevate the Scot’s stock since “Money” is a decorated veteran with plenty of experience in his back pocket. But, he will have to be on his “A” game because the Brazilian bomber is coming in motivated to avoid his third straight loss. This could be a passing of torch of sorts (on a small level) should Duncan get the win. But, Moicano wants to show his peers, and fans, that he still has plenty left to offer.

A Lightweight bout between Tofiq Musayev vs. Samuel Sanches was scheduled for this card before Sanches withdrew for undisclosed reasons. In addition, Park Jun Yong suffered a hand injury, forcing the cancelation of his scrap against Edmen Shahbazyan.

Dakota Hope will bring his five-fight win streak with him when he makes his first appearance inside the Octagon against Kai Kamaka III (on super short notice). Hope has an impressive record of 11-1 with five submissions and one knockout. As for Kamaka III, he will make his return to the Octagon after knocking out Michel Lima on the regional circuit. His last fight inside the Octagon came back in July 2021, a majority draw against Danny Chavez.

Jose Delano, meanwhile, will also make his promotional debut straight out of Contender Series after racking up a 6-1 record under LFA’s tornado-twisting banner. He will attempt to make an impact right away when he goes toe-to-toe against Robert Ruchala, who lost in his Octagon debut via unanimous decision against William Gomis.

Last but not least, Tommy McMillen will bring his undefeated record (9-0) — which includes a win on Contender Series — when he battles Manolo Zechinni, who came up short in his promotional debut against Morgan Charriere. As for McMillen, he has knocked out three of his foes, while forcing five others to tap to his jiu-jitsu.

How The ‘Prelims’ Look:

There was a time when Lando Vanatta had somewhat of a cult following after four straight “Performance of the Night”-winning performances from 2016-2017. But, he lost some of that momentum later in his career after dropping three of his last four. Furthermore, he has been out of action for three years now; therefore, he will attempt to get some of his magic back when he battles Darrius Flowers, who could use a big win himself since he is currently on a three-fight losing streak (all inside UFC’s Octagon).

Melissa Gato was able to snap her two-fight skid, defeating Tamires Vidal; however, that was was nearly two years ago. Now, she will dust off the cobwebs and get back into the swing of things when she battles Dione Barbosa, who is coming off a loss against Karine Silva.

In Middleweight action, Tresean Gore vs. Azamat Bekoev will throw down to see who gets back on the winning track. Gore is currently on a two-fight losing streak, while Bekoev is coming off a knockout loss at the hands of Yousri Belgaroui (re-live that here).

Stewart Nicoll, meanwhile, finds himself in a must-win situation since he has come up short in his first two fights under UFC’s banner. He will battles Alessandro Costa, who has alternated wins and losses with the promotion, resulting in a 2-3 record.

Guilherme Pat has kicked off his mixed martial arts (MMA) strong with a perfect record (6-0), which includes a successful UFC debut against Allen Frye. He will look to remain undefeated against Thomas Petersen, who is coming off a knockout defeat at the hands of Vitor Petrino (watch that here).

Hailey Cowan has lost her first two fights inside the Octagon, and now she is in a must-win situation as she faces off against Alice Pereira. If Cowan drops three in a row, I highly doubt she will get a fourth try to make things right moving forward. Pereira could use a win, as well, since she lost her highly-anticipated UFC debut against Montserrat Rendon in Sept. 2025.

Jandiroba came up short in her bid to win the vacant women’s Strawweight title at UFC 321, and now she begins her march back toward a title fight after having her five-fight win streak go up in smoke. She will face off against Ricci, who is coming off a technical knockout win over Amanda Ribas (watch highlights), pushing her to 3-1 in her last four outings.

A win over Jandiroba would undoubtedly launch “Baby Shark” into the Top 5.

Ethyn Ewing started off his MMA career with two straight losses, but has since turned it around to win his next nine fights, including a successful UFC debut, handing bluechip prospect, Malcolm Wellmaker, his first-ever defeat at UFC 322 (on super short notice, too). now, he will look to keep his momentum going when he goes up against Rafael Estevam, who is undefeated (14-0), including three straight unanimous decisions under UFC’s banner.

This one should be a great battle.

Brendson Ribeiro currently finds himself on a two-fight losing streak and in danger of a third straight loss that could send him packing from the promotion. As for Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev, he has yet to taste defeat in his young MMA career, going 8-0 in his first five years as a professional.

Best Fighter Nickname?

BKB fighter Ollie “The Death” Sentance is my current fave.

I see a lot of threads on the message boards about worst fighter nickname, which seems easy because so many of them are terrible, like Nikita “Al Capone” Krylov.
