THE Bathurst 6 Hour is here to stay.

A new five-year deal has been struck to keep the annual Easter production car enduro at the Mountain until at least 2031.

This weekend’s event marks the 10th edition of the Bathurst 6 Hour.

It debuted in 2016, with victory on that occasion going to the BMW 335i-shod duo of Chaz Mostert and Nathan Morcom.

BMW remains undefeated in an outright capacity to this day.

Up to five motorsport events are permitted each year at Mount Panorama, of which four slots are currently occupied: the 1000, the 12 Hour, the 6 Hour, and Challenge Bathurst.

Promotion of the 6 Hour switched from James O’Brien to the Australian Racing Group in 2019.

Former ARG supremo Barry Rogers nowadays privately runs the event in conjunction with Liam Curkpatrick and Sally Parkinson.
