Former New England Patriots tight end and NFL legend Ron Gronkowski believes that Tom Brady could still be playing football in the NFL if he really wanted it. In fact, he believes that the seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback could keep playing until age 54.

“Hypothetically speaking, I would say until 54 years old,” Gronkowski said of Brady, via Covers.com’s DJ Siddiqi. “This guy is just different. He blew my mind. Over the last month, we were training together, and every time I was walking away impressed with his skill-set, his competitiveness, and just how his arm strength, his accuracy is all still there.”

Gronkowski and Brady recently reunited for the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, where Brady connected with Stefon Diggs on a touchdown pass in his first throw of the game. The 48-year-old legend eluded a defender and beamed a pass in the corner of the end zone for the score.

He then connected with Gronkowski on a perfect crosser for a two-point conversion.

If anyone has an idea of Brady’s ceiling currently, it would be one of his all-time favorite receiving targets, Gronkowski. Flag football is obviously different from regular football, but the accuracy and power were still there for Brady.

“He might have it for life. He might have it until like 80 years old. I have never seen a come-down with his athletic skills ever. This guy’s just a machine,” said Gronkowski.
