Zac Lomax is set to make his Super Rugby debut against the Fijian Drua after a brief injury delay, promised to be memorable by Western Force coach Simon Cron. Missing their recent win over the Reds due to a tight hamstring, Lomax’s introduction will take place at Churchill Park, Lautoka.
Cron emphasized the challenging nature of the upcoming match, recognizing the Drua’s home-field advantage and athleticism. Describing it as a ‘baptism,’ Cron expressed confidence in Lomax’s capabilities, noting his power and strength akin to the impressive Drua athletes.
The former National Rugby League player joined the Western Force in March after a legal dispute with the Parramatta Eels. Although not needed in the Force’s recent upset win, his debut is anticipated eagerly. Cron explained Lomax’s cautious return, highlighting his 80% sprint capacity and prioritizing the athlete’s welfare.
