“It was lovely working with Mischa Barton. I get that question a lot.”

Neighbours has posted on Xavier Molyneux’s exit from the 10 soap ahead of his Hollywood coup as the lead in upcoming Prime Video Viking drama Bloodaxe.

Replacing Joe Klocek as Byron Stone in 2023, his very first scene was with Annie Jones.

“It was such a motherly scene and I felt it straight away,” he said.

“It was lovely working with Mischa Barton. I get that question a lot. And I spoke to her the other day and she also gets that question a lot.”

Of his storyline exit he noted, “Byron gets to go full circle and revisit his friends over in Paris. I think that’s such a nice way to, you know, finish it and leave it open ended.”

Molyneux, who was previously a paramedic with NSW Ambulance, featured as a contestant on Seven’s 2020 Big Brother series. He was cast in Bloodaxe thanks to Neighbours’ US casting connections. Both shows are on Prime Video.

Molyneux has recently been spotted in Melbourne sporting a bushy Viking-like beard in readiness for filming.
