Sarah Ferguson hasn’t been seen in public since her granddaughter Athena’s christening on December 12 in London, and it’s now been reported that the disgraced royal is on a “secret sofa-surfing world tour”.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor‘s ex-wife is reportedly looking “dishevelled” while relying on her high-profile friends to house her, according to a new report by the Daily Mail.

Sarah has been leading a nomadic lifestyle since being evicted from Royal Lodge amid questions over her close ties with paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein, and is said to be leaning heavily on her “discreet, wealthy friends” to help her.

Both Andrew and Sarah were stripped of their royal titles and honours by King Charles in November and were forced to move out of their shared home on the Windsor Home Park estate in February.

An insider has now told the Mail that Sarah is nervous and convinced that people wish her harm. She reportedly has three mobile phones, swapping between them in order to fly under the radar and avoid being tracked.

‘Effectively homeless’

It was reported last month that her daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were refusing to let their mother live with them, leaving her “effectively homeless”.

Although the girls are said to still be in touch with their mother, it is unlikely Sarah will have seen them over Easter. Beatrice and Eugenie made “alternative plans” to spend the weekend alone with their respective families after discussing it with King Charles, HELLO! understands.

Last month, Hollywood icon Priscilla Presley was reported to have offered Sarah a place to stay in Los Angeles amid the public scrutiny. However, the star’s representatives later issued a statement insisting that the allegations were “totally false”.

Sarah and Priscilla’s connection stems from the friendship the former duchess had with Priscilla and Elvis’ late daughter, Lisa Marie Presley.

Where is Sarah Ferguson now?

The mystery of Sarah’s whereabouts is ongoing. “The thing with Sarah is if she wanted to be seen, she would be,” The Sun’s Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson said on a recent episode of HELLO!’s A Right Royal podcast.

“It’s amazing that you can as famous as you are, Sarah Ferguson, you can find a way to hide away.” Not to mention that “there are certainly ways to avoid” being photographed, as HELLO!’s own Emily Nash pointed out.

Royal expert Matt confirmed Sarah had been to a wellness retreat in Northern Ireland, as well as a secret stay in Verbier in a chalet lent to her by an old friend, Paddy McNally.

She is also reported to have spent some time at the Paracelsus Recovery Clinic in Zurich, Switzerland, which she previously described as a “safe harbour in the storms of life”.
