As we began the month of August, we couldn’t help but wonder… which shows will live to see another day, which will go out on their own terms, and which will reach an untimely end? It didn’t take long to get our first answer, as HBO Max announced that it’s closing the book on the Sex and the City sequel series And Just Like That… after three seasons. We’re about to find out what life will be like without the uniquely baffling modern-day adventures of Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw.
This month’s other early cancellations are Goosebumps, which is getting buried after two seasons on Disney+, and FUBAR, which is going AWOL after two seasons at Netflix. In better news, it’s been a very kind summer to Freeform’s Cruel Summer, which is coming out of cancellation for a surprise Season 3, and Netflix ordered a third season of One Piece prior to the adaptation’s second voyage.
Whether you’re looking to celebrate your favorites or mourn the loss of something on your regular rotation, we’re keeping tabs on all the shows that have been canceled or renewed in August below.
