Charles Leclerc has been made a Monaco Goodwill Ambassador in a special ceremony by the Prince of Monaco.
Leclerc is one of just five drivers in F1 history to compete for Monaco, and has claimed all eight victories for the principality since making his debut in 2018 before being promoted to the Scuderia for 2019.
In the ceremony held by Albert II, the Ferrari F1 driver was invested with an ambassador role, from the Monaco Ambassador’s Club – a body set up by Albert’s mother, the late Princess Grace of Monaco, in 1973.
It is designed to celebrate and recognise those who positively add to Monaco’s international reputation and standing.
Albert, a supporter of Leclerc’s career since he was young also presented him with a wedding gift after recently marrying his partner, Alexandra Saint-Mleux.
