Panthers winger Thomas Jenkins has continued his incredible run of form, scoring another double in spectacular fashion in his side’s shock 32-16 loss to Canterbury.
With the struggling Bulldogs leading 16-12 early in the second half, Penrith needed something special to put them back in the contest.
After a bootlaces try-saver on Luke Garner, Penrith was sloppy with the ball as hooker Mitch Kenny passed to the ground on the last tackle. Paul Alamoti found Nathan Cleary behind him before the halfback kicked from the right corner to left.

Jenkins’ two tries means he’s now scored six consecutive try-scoring doubles this season, which equals Alex Johnston’s record.
“He is having an incredible year,” Slater added.
Last week, Jenkins made it 12 for the year with his two, which is the most tries ever across the first five rounds.
Jenkins now has 14 and is six in front of Dominic Young and Sua Faalogo for the year.
The most tries ever scored in a top-flight rugby league season is 38 by Dave Brown.
Johnston scored 30 tries in both 2021 and 2022.
