For the owners, a couple with young children and two dogs, having spent years abroad, their homecoming back to Sydney required a “family home they could live in for a very long time, and love being in”, Fanning says. Spread over three storeys, Leesthorpe encompasses six bedrooms, six bathrooms (including a powder room), four living zones, one external and three internal dining spaces, one study, a hidden golf simulation room, tennis court and swimming pool with a gym, sauna and steam room underneath. Yet, in spite of its generous proportions, the home exudes warmth and intimacy—a common thread woven delicately throughout, even while each individual space is “celebrated with its own personality”.
