68′ TRY: Sialetili Faeamani scores a double for the Titans
The Eels drop the ball inside their own half. Luca Moretti spilled the ball in a tackle, and it has given the Titans a full set, starting about 40 metres from the goal-line.
The Titans worked the set really well.
They get the ball near the left wing, to open up the field.
The Titans go through the hands, and winger Sialetili Faeamani scores in the right corner.

64′ TRY: Addo-Carr soars high to score for Parramatta
Wonderful from Josh Addo-Carr.
The Eels were attacking the Gold Coast goal-line, when five-eighth Ronald Volkman kicks to the corner for Josh Addo-Carr.
It was a great kick, and Addo-Carr jumped high, caught the ball, and grounded the ball.
Addo-Carr deserved that try. He has been Parra’s best today. He has tried hard all day, in attack and defence.

58′ TRY: TITANS GO THE LENGTH OF THE FIELD
BRILLIANT. Just wonderful from the Gold Coast Titans.
The Titans were defending their goal-line.
Eels fullback Joash Papalii gave a poor pass to his left, and the ball is on the ground.
Titans right centre Jojo Fifita picked up the ball and streaked away.
Fifta is being chased by Eels winger Josh Addo-Carr. Fifita runs to the centre of the field, and then throws a long pass to left winger Phillip Sami.
Sami streaks down the left winger; he outruns the final Eels defender, and does a sommersault has he grounds the ball.

56′ Junior Paulo back on the field
Good news on the injury front for the Parramatta Eels.
Junior Paulo is fit enough to return to the contest.
21m agoSun 12 Apr 2026 at 5:17am55′ NO TRY: Bunker denies Parramatta
Parramatta fans are celebrating as Joash Papalii scores under the posts.
But the Bunker wants to have a look.
Joash Papalii had put up a bomb, and winger Araz Nanva chased through, caught the ball, then passed to Papalii to score.
But Nanva was offside — in front of Papalii when he kiced the ball.

50′ TRY: Cooper Bai scores for the Titans
Gold Coast has made Parramatta pay for Brian Kelly’s poor pass into touch.
Cooper Bai took a strong run at the Eels goal-line defence.
There were three Eels there to make the tackle, but Bai hammered through and grounded the ball on the line.
The Titans are in firm control.

49′ Eels imploding as errors mount
Parramatta has put itself under pressure.
Brian Kelly is trying to make something out of nothing, in his own end, and has produced a poor pass that is out of the reach of his support, and goes into touch.
The Eels are on the ropes.
31m agoSun 12 Apr 2026 at 5:07am46′ TRY: Titans score against the run of play
After being under pressure for the first five minutes of the second half, the Titans have stunned with a try against the run of play.
Hooker Sam Verrills made a run, with the Eels not setting up at marker.
He made a half-break, then got a pass to fullback Keano Kini (what a match he is having) who is through.
Kini passes to Jayden Campbell, who is running to the line while being hunted down by Josh Addo-Carr.
Campbell has just enough pace, and the Titans have an 18-point lead again.

42′ Eels force a goal-line drop out
Titans fullback Keano Kini caught the bomb kick and was driven back, tackled three metres from his own line.
At dummy-half, Jayden Campbell then throws a poor pass to Sialetili Faeamani, who is now in his own in-goal and that is where he is tackled.
Campbell makes up for it, and kicks the ball about 70 metres from the drop-out.
The Eels do get into and attacking position, but a forward pass near the goal-line ends their chance of getting an early try in the second half.
35m agoSun 12 Apr 2026 at 5:03amSecond half begins in Parramatta
The Titans kick off to begin the second half.
The Eels will have the first use of the ball, then they will run to the right of your screen.
It is a really good set from the Eels.
They make a lot of metres, and they put up a big kick from inside the Titans’ half.
Great start.
39m agoSun 12 Apr 2026 at 4:59amParramatta injury woes continue
We have talked about the Eels injury issues throughout this blog.
It has got worse.
Sam Tuivaiti was knocked out after coming off second-best in a tackle, failing his HIA.
There are questions over the fitness of key forward Junior Paulo.
He came off in the 19th minute, with ABC Sport’s sideline eye John Gibbs noting that Paulo limped off the field.
50m agoSun 12 Apr 2026 at 4:48amHT: Gold Coast 18 leads Parramatta 6
The Gold Coast Titans have an 18-6 lead at halftime.
But, it really could be so much more.
ABC Sport called, and former player and coach, Matthew Elliott, says he believes the Titans blew “four or five” chances to score.
After taking an 18-0 lead, the Titans started to get very expansive with the ball, and the errors started to build up.
“It’s like they got bored of scoring tries the easy way,’ Elliot says.
The Eels finished the half strong, and got a try to reduce the deficit to 12 points.

40′ Eels get a penalty on halftime
Parramatta gets a penalty with just second left in the half.
Mitchell Moses kicks into the Titans’ territory.
The Eels have one play, from 35 metres out.
Centre Will Penisini taps the ball, and runs straight. Mitchell Moses has his hands in the air — HE WANTS THE BALL.
There is nothing there for Penisini, who passes to the right winger Araz Nanva, who can do nothing but kick for himself, but the Titans have that covered.

36′ Eels linebreak, but knock-on ends attack
Parramatta is starting to play with some freedom, and it is finding success when it attacks down the right.
Will Penisini made a break down the right wing, and was able to pass back inside to keep the play alive.
The Eels go from the right wing, all the way to the left.
They have the Titans stretched, but a poor pass that is over the head of Jack Williams, was touched by Williams and went forward.

Sam Tuivaiti fails HIA — out for match
As expected, Parramatta’s Sam Tuivaiti will not return after failing his head injury assessment.
1h agoSun 12 Apr 2026 at 4:37am32′ TRY: Will Penisini scores for Parramatta
The Eels are on the board.
Mitchell Moses went down the short side, where it is a three-on-three between the attack and defence.
Moses gets on the outside of his marker, draws a second defender, then passes to Kelma Tuilagi.
The second rower draws in Titans fullback Keano Kini, passes to his right, and Will Penisini is through.
That pass looked forward. The ref says it’s fine.
Penisini bobble the ball and needs three chances to catch the footy.
He finally holds it, and scores with a Titans’ defender around his waist.

31′ Titans linebreak, but miss a golden chance
Titans halfback Jayden Campbell puts Arama Hau through a hole.
Hau passes inside, and its a poor pass, and Chris Randall cannot hold it.

28′ Sam Tuivaiti is off for HIA
Bad news for Parramatta.
Sam Tuivaiti, who came on to replace Junior Paulo, is lying on the ground and is receiving attention from trainers.
Tuivaiti was trying to make a tackle, but his head made contact with the hip of Titans’ ball-carrier Arama Hau.
Tuivaiti fell straight to the ground and remained there for a couple of minutes.
He is off for a HIA. He looks certain not to come back into this match.

26′ Addo-Carr loses the ball deep in Eels’ territory
The Eels are really struggling to gain any momentum.
Winger Josh Addo-Carr takes a run from inside his own half, but it comes loose in that three-may tackle.
It gives the Gold Coast a magnificent opportunity to score a fourth try.
There was a long pass to left winger Phillip Sami, and there is a chance to go for the corner.
Sami trips, falls to the ground and is tackled. Sami then passes off the ground, presumably thinking he was about to be thrown into touch.
That is a penalty against the Titans. Eels hold on.
