LIMA__The Bluffton High School boys tennis team finished a strong third at the seven-team Lima City Tournament on Saturday, April 11.
Elida won the tightly-bunched event with 23 points, followed closely by Maumee Valley Country Day (22) and Bluffton (21).
Kenton and Wapakoneta tied for fourth with 15 points apiece. LCC ended up sixth (5), and Bath came in last (2).
Pirate sophomore Toby Yarnell won the C singles flight championship with an 8-2 victory over Kenton’s Cale Harshfield in the title round.
The Bluffton sophomore duo of Micah Lemley and Ezra Nygaard took second in the B flight doubles. They lost to Jostpille and Solomon of Elida in the finals, 8-3.
