Adelaide’s Ambulance ramping rise rooted in lack of aged care beds

Shocking statewide ambulance ramping figures from last month have pushed the state government to investigate the root cause of the rise.

Health Minister Chris Picton shared with Sonya and Jules that a lack of beds in the aged care system paired with an harsh flu season are key factors.

Minister Picton said they “want those people out of those hospital… people who can’t get into get into an inpatient ward bed because it’s taken up by someone else.”
