Polestar Australia has rationalised its aging 2 line-up roughly 12 months out from the arrival of the new-generation electric sedan. In short, the entry-level Standard Range Single Motor has been axed while the halo Long Range Dual Motor with Performance Pack has gained $5100 worth of Pixel LED headlights and a snazzier sound system.
Far from the biggest update in history, there’s really not too much more to know about what Polestar Australia’s calling an ‘MY27’ update other than the flagship gaining $5100 worth of equipment for no extra cost.
The MY27 Polestar 2 is available to order now and will be replaced in roughly 12 months by the new-generation 2 that’s expected to evolve from a high-riding sedan into a low-slung Tesla Model 3 rival underpinned by the same EV-specific platform (SEA) as the Polestar 4 crossover.
How much does the 2026 Polestar 2 cost?
Long Range Single Motor – $66,400
Long Range Dual Motor – $71,400
Long Range Dual Motor w. Perf Pack – $85,080
