The 2026 inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame have been announced and they include Phil Collins, Billy Idol and Joy Division/New Order.
A notable exception is INXS, who was nominated, but did not make the cut.
First-time nominees to have made it into the hall of fame are the Wu-Tang Clan and the late Luther Vandross, who died in 2005.
More than 1,200 artists, historians and music industry professionals voted on the nominees to come up with the final list.
INXS nominated for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
To be eligible, artists need to have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to induction.
A record six British performers make up the inductees.
Collins was added as a solo act after already making it into the Hall of Fame as a member of Genesis.
Several rap acts are also included in the class of 2026.
The list was revealed during an episode of American Idol.
Others who were nominated this year but missed out are Mariah Carey, Shakira, Lauryn Hill, Jeff Buckley, New Edition, Pink, and Melissa Etheridge.
There are four categories — the performer category, and three special committee categories: early influence, musical excellence and the Ahmet Ertegun Non-Performer Award.
The induction ceremony is due to be held in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 14.
