Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the team in orange, now have two batters leading the race for the Orange Cap after Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan moved up to occupy the top two spots in the IPL 2026 run charts.
Kishan leapfrogged 22 batters with his 44-ball 91, while Klaasen moved up from the third spot with his 26-ball 40. Teen sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who had occupied the top spot coming into the game between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and SRH fell for a first-ball duck.
The SRH pair also joined Sooryavanshi in being the first three players to cross the 200-run mark this season.
Sooryavanshi’s opening partner Jaiswal, who is fifth on the list, could add just one run to his tally, while Dhruv Jurel, sixth on the list, also failed to score against SRH.
RR legspinner Ravi Bishnoi stayed on second place in the Purple Cap race as he went wicketless, but his team-mate Jofra Archer took two wickets to go fourth with a tally of seven wickets in five games.
Harsh Dubey is the only SRH bowler in the top 10 of the wicket-takers’ list this season, and he couldn’t add to his total, but Eshan Malinga has joined him on five wickets with two against RR. SRH’s debutants Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain, who started their IPL careers with four-fors, are hot on their heels.
